EverFi – Financial Literacy is an engaging online resource that uses video, animations, and interactive activities to bring complex financial concepts to life for high school students. EverFi tracks individual student progress and knowledge gain. Those students that successfully complete all nine modules obtain a certification in financial literacy. As they embark on their adult journey, this can be a powerful tool for job, college, and internship applications. Team members from 1st National Bank visit classrooms each year to interact with students and reaffirm how the financial skills they are learning will set them up for success in the future.

  • Credit Card & Interest Rates
  • Credit Score
  • Financing Higher Education
  • Renting vs Owning
  • Taxes & Insurance
  • Consumer Protection
  • Investing

1st National Bank currently sponsors 11 high schools. Since 2012:

  • 2,699 Wisconsin students reached
  • 10,742 learning hours spent
  • 15,885 learning modules completed
  • $15,000 in scholarships awarded to graduating seniors

EverFi scholarships help fund higher education.

When students become certified, they are eligible to apply for our scholarship offering.  This is exclusive to EverFi participants and five (5) $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.

To be eligible for a scholarship, the student must:

  • Have Certification in the EverFi Program
  • Be a Graduating High School Senior
  • Complete the Application Process (outlined below)

Please e-mail the following to, on or before May 1, 2017:

    • Essay should be 600-800 words in length
    • Include future aspirations or ideas for your future
    • Answer 2 out of the 3 following questions:

    1. How did the 1st National Bank EverFi Program teach you to become a fiscally-responsible adult? How will you use this information in the future?

    2. Explain the module from the 1st National Bank EverFi Program that influenced you the most and why. How will you use this information in real life?

    3. Give an example of a person/people you know or know of who has made financial mistakes. Which information in the 1st National Bank EverFi Program could help them and what could they have done differently?

    • Check on your dashboard to make sure you’re certified, then print your certificate.
    • Log into your account
    • Click the blue and white account wheel in the upper right corner, click “Dashboard”
    • If you are certified, next to CERTIFICATE you will see “You have been certified, click here to get your certificate”.
    • Click to get your certificate or complete the course.
